Just a few weeks ago, we heard about the gross story of a deep-fried lizard that was found in a bag of Irvins Salted Egg Fish Skin, however this time, the same reptile was discovered in a sticky rice bamboo dish! Disgusting!

According to mStar, a Thai woman named Junto Gaewpuong shared her traumatising experience after she discovered a skink (a type of lizard) that was stuffed in her Khao Lam Rice (bamboo sticky rice) she had bought from Surin Railway Station in Thailand. This incident is said to have occurred on Tuesday (22 January 2019).

The 62-year-old woman said that she had purchased the sticky rice while waiting for the train to return to Surin after visiting her cousins at in Nonthaburi province around 4am.

When she saw food sellers along the railway station, she decided to purchase the Khao Lam sticky rice from one of the food sellers at the station, believed to be in her 40s. Gaewpuong had paid 20 baht (approximately RM2.60) for five of them.

At that moment, the food seller had given Gaewpuong an extra one for free. At that time, she had six pieces of the bamboo sticky rice.

Unfortunately, she realized how “lucky” she was when she took the very first bite of her final piece.

“I just took one bite of the sixth snack. After that, I cracked the bamboo open and to my great surprise, there was a lizard stuffed inside. I felt completely shocked and nauseous both at the same time”, the woman told local reporters during an interview. OMG, gross!

“I will probably not purchase these snacks anymore.”

After her traumatizing experience discovering lizard wrapped in her sticky rice, the woman advised all food sellers to pay more attention to the food they are selling to their customers. She stated that they must always be aware of the cleanliness of their products.

Guys, after purchasing any food product, be sure to have a good look at your food before consuming it. You will never know what might be stored inside!
