With thousands of people unable to make a living due to this pandemic lockdown, white flags are being raised as a cry for help. As a result, many kindhearted Malaysians are setting up food banks all over the country for those in need.

This was probably where one client got the idea from and decided to ask a design agency if they had a “design bank” of free designs for them to choose from.

KF Design, a Malaysian social media agency that provides design services for logos, business cards, flyers, menus, posters, catalogues, banners, billboards, websites, and more, posted an encounter they had with a potential client recently.

“Like a food bank but for designs”

According to a screenshot of the conversation, the client asked KF Design if they had a “design bank”. When KF Design expressed that they didn’t understand their question, they explained that it is like a foodbank, but for designs.

“Something like food bank, but providing design services,” the client said.

“Just to help customers design a few pictures for free.”

KF Design was dumbfounded when they received the request.

“I’ve heard of a food bank, but design bank, what the hell is that?” they said in the caption.

“With this logic, does that mean Maybank only sends money every May?”

KF Design told WORLD OF BUZZ that they declined the request and said that the client didn’t respond after that.

“He needs a brain bank”

Netizens were amused with the client’s request and expressed their thoughts in the comments.

  • “Although I’m not in the design industry, this is really ridiculous.”
  • “Should you ask him to hang up a white flag?”
  • “Ask him for his money bank and contribute some money to you first.”
  • “He needs a brain bank.”
