Surprise, surprise!

In a statement, they informed that “We will be closing the Selangor River Water Treatment Plant Phase 1, Phase 2, Phase 3 and Rantau Panjang due to pollution at the Selangor River detected around 2am.”

Here are the affected areas as specified by Air Selangor:

To flush out the contaminants, Lembaga Urus Air Selangor (LUAS) will be releasing raw water sources which will also melt the contaminants. Unfortunately, as of 6.30am, there’s still up to 1 TONNE of contaminants in the water sources.

Air Selangor provides water supply assistance by moving tank trucks to affected areas with priority to critical premises such as hospitals and dialysis centres. Consumers in need of water supply assistance for emergencies such as death matters can call 15300.

Do take note if you’re living in the affected areas. Stay tuned for more updates!
