When it comes to houses, you’d often want to add your very own unique touch or twist on ordinary features in order to make it stand out from the rest.
Recently, a house in Singapore went viral on TikTok as it featured a very unique trait that we’re pretty sure no other houses would have, a bus stop button as its doorbell!
In the TikTok video by @ehehkaun1, the poster showed off the brand new addition to their house which is a bus stop button you’d normally see on buses which acts as the doorbell.
The sounds emitted from the button is exactly the same as the sound that comes out when you press the stop button in a bus in Singapore.
In multiple past videos, the poster shared that they had gotten the parts from a friend of theirs from a bus which had been retired.
They also shared that they had done the wiring on their own in order to incorporate the sound as well as the button which was placed right next to the front door.

The video which has gone viral on TikTok as it currently sits on over 266,400 views, has captured plenty of attention. Netizens took to the comments section to praise the innovative approach to recycling items into something out of the box.
“My kids love pressing bus stop bell. Where can get the bus stop bell?”
A user said that they’d love to follow in their footsteps and go to the scrapyard to find bus parts for their home.
Some netizens even made suggestions on how the house owner could further ‘improve’ the house by incorporating more features of a public bus.
“Change your door like the bus, (it) will be perfect.”
