Wanting to gatekeep our country from other foreigners, a Caucasian man in Cherating, Pahang, playfully refused to share anything about Malaysia with the world in a video on the Go Malaysia TikTok page.

Go Malaysia wrote, “Well, maybe we shouldn’t make Malaysia that famous after all.”

In the video, the man shared that he loves Malaysia largely because of our food.

Ikan (fish) curry, udang (prawns), ketam (crabs), what else, huh? Roti Canai. Oh, everything,” he said in Bahasa Malaysia.

He added that he loves playing sports in Malaysia but he needs to be well fed for it. Don’t worry about that, sir, Malaysia has got you covered!

He was then asked to share 3 things everyone in the world should know about Malaysia, to which he initially answered, “What ‘Malaysia Boleh’ means.”

But he then quickly changed his tune.

“Actually no, we don’t want them to know about Malaysia, because it’s too nice. (It’s) just for us. So, nothing! You should know nothing about Malaysia,”

“Singapore, then Thailand, that’s all,” he said, in regards to where people should visit in Asia.

Many agreed with the man’s decision to gatekeep Malaysia and encouraged others to follow suit!
