For the threat, he was charged under Section 506 Penal Code which brings a maximum prison sentence of 7 years. Additionally, Zaim was also charged under Section 323 Penal Code for hurting the female driver, which brings a jail time of 1 year and an RM2,000 fine.

Zaim was not represented by anyone at the court, according to Kosmo.

The incident took place on KM22 Jalan Tapah – Cameron Highlands on June 5, where Zaim claimed the female driver attempted to take over his car but failed as there was incoming traffic from the other lane. Her act endangered Zaim and he was worried about his pregnant wife and 4-year-old kid who were also in the car.

Another report by Berita Harian said that Zaim requested a lighter punishment as he has a wife and a kid to feed, with an RM4,000 monthly income. Judge Siti Hanum acknowledged that and gave him a friendly reminder.

“Every action affects yourself and others. Think before you act.”
