Viper Challenge is Back in Genting Highlands! Here’s How to Join M’sia’s BIGGEST Obstacle Run

Malaysia’s biggest obstacle run, the Viper King of the Mountain event, is returning to Genting Highlands in January 2024!

ICYMI, Viper Challenge is one of Asia’s biggest sporting event series and they have been running for 10 years attracting over 400,000 participants (and counting!). Wondering what’s the hype with this event? Then read on and we’ll tell you!

 

“What is the Viper Challenge all about?”

The Viper Challenge is an obstacle-based event where Malaysians can join in teams to conquer various challenges to reach the finish line and emerge as victors.

The number of teammates you have in your team is completely up to you! The aim is to gather your favourite people and work together to achieve the same goal. Not only will this push your limits individually, but it can also be a great team bonding activity. Talk about the ultimate squad goal! ?

As for the course, each event will feature various obstacles consisting of different difficulty levels: Easy, Medium, and Advanced. These world-class obstacles are meant to test your strength, endurance and determination so that when you reach the finishing line, you will feel the rush of accomplishment and enjoy the sweet taste of victory!

Plus, upon finishing the obstacles, participants will also receive exclusive goodies including a finisher T-shirt and medal! In fact, the medal for this event will be a special one! This year, the medals of all four Viper Challenge events are specially designed to fit together and form one ‘final piece’ that symbolises your triumph and success!

Yup, this means the medal of this event is just the starting point. You can join the rest of Viper Challenge events in 2024 to keep collecting the medals to complete your collection!

Here comes the exciting part!

The next Viper Challenge, the Viper King of the Mountain event, will be held at Resorts World Awana, Genting Highlands on 20 January 2024. This will mark the event’s long-awaited return to Genting Highlands after a six-year hiatus!

This time around, Malaysians can expect to experience the ultimate fitness challenge as they will need to complete a 7-km track filled with 15 different obstacles! The full list of obstacles is yet to be announced but we managed to dig up some exclusive info on a few confirmed obstacles, which include:

  • Wobble Walk
  • Dome Climb
  • Web Maze, and many others!

Not only that, Viper Challenge is also inviting you to help determine the rest of the obstacles!

From now until 3 January 2024, you can head over to Viper Challenge’s Instagram to find a voting link where you can vote for the obstacles you’d like to be included in the next event! The first voting round has been posted here, but make sure to stay tuned for future voting rounds!
