A homeless young Malaysian was allegedly beaten up by robbers who were apparently targeting the money the general public donated to him. Thankfully, local philanthropist Uncle Kentang’s team managed to rescue him before any more hardships befell him.

Taking to his Facebook page, Uncle Kentang explained how his team had found the young man with speech issues.

“He was beaten up by robbers who came to take his money”

He wrote, “A young man was beaten up by robbers. He was homeless. He also has speech problems.”

“We received a call from the public and went to get him. We found out that he has speech problems and family problems too, as his parents had passed away. He had bruises on his body. According to him, he was beaten up by robbers who came to take his money. People gave him money, and robbers came and took his money.”

The young man also had not renewed his Identity Card (IC) from the old version, known as the Bunga Raya IC.

His team jumped into action to rescue the homeless young man by cleaning him up and providing him with a place to stay while trying to get him employed.

They are also attempting to seek out any relatives he has in the Klang area.

“We brought him to buy slippers, T-shirts and bathing necessities. We brought him for a haircut, brought him for food and brought him for a medical examination and dressing (of his wounds). We tucked him in at Hotel 99,”

“We plan to find his relatives in Klang. We changed (his old IC) to a new IC. We’ll get him a job,” he added.

We genuinely hope that the young man will regain his footing under Uncle Kentang’s guidance.
