Well, this is truly an outrageous way to treat a poor, innocent baby! It seems that there have been many cases involving babies or kids being mistreated and just today (July 4), someone discovered yet another brutal case of baby dumping.

This time, the baby was not just abandoned unceremoniously but instead, was placed in a paper shopping bag. What’s more, the paper bag was hung on the side mirror of a car that was parked at an apartment building at Jalan Raja Ashman Shah in Ipoh, Berita Harian reported. Poor baby!

Apparently, a man had found the suspicious looking paper bag at around 12.15am when he walked past the car. To his shock, he heard cries coming from the direction of the bag and found a crying baby inside it. The baby was cold and hungry.

The baby girl was discovered to be only two days old with her umbilical cord still attached to her belly button. It is believed that the baby had been abandoned there before 8.30pm on Tuesday (July 3). She was left hanging on the car for almost four hours before the man found her.

Ipoh deputy police chief Supt Abdul Rani Alias confirmed the case and said that the baby has been taken to Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital for treatment. She is currently in stable condition. The police said that they will be investigating the baby dumping case according to Section 317 of the Penal Code.

Hopefully the baby will be fine and the people who callously dumped her there will be severely punished!
