Najib became the centre of attention yesterday in the Dewan Negara after claiming the government should not blame the country’s financial situation on the 1MDB debt.

His statement has not only angered some of the politicians in the hall but also the rakyat. Today (3 March), former Prime Minister and the chairman of Parti Pejuang Tanah Air, Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad has responded to Najib’s claim and expressed his disgusts by the latter’s claim.

“That is so stupid. Not paying the debt? That’s typical Najib,” Tun M added.

In a video shared by Astro Awani, he also said that this is the reason why the country is lacking the money to develop further and contribute to the rakyat, and sarcastically dubbed Najib as an “extraordinary” person who plays victim all the time.

“He steals in front of us and he’ll say he did not steal, but you did! That’s typical Najib.”

Tun M later called him a shameless thief by making a remark on Najib’s 12 years of the jail sentence, which Najib is not embarrassed about. Not only that but he also said Najib claimed himself to be the boss, which is a wordplay on Najib’s infamous slogan, “malu apa bossku.” Tun M also highlighted that Najib’s shameless attitude is what will destroy society.

“I think if Najib gets naked in public, he won’t even feel embarrassed since he is the boss,” Tun M remarked.
At the end of the video, Tun M reminded the people that a civilized society should know how to feel embarrassed especially when they have done something wrong. You cant watch and listen to Tun M’s speech below.

Do you agree with Tun M’s take about Najib?
