This Merdeka, Pavilion Bukit Jalil invites Malaysians to come together in the spirit of patriotism through its campaign Together. We Celebrate — a vibrant showcase of fitness, unity, and creativity happening until Tuesday, 16 September 2025.

As part of the celebrations, Pavilion Bukit Jalil proudly presents Tinta Merdeka, an immersive fashion-art and cultural installation created by UCSI University students, with support from Truley Bateq, Chery, and KB Colour Image. In its third consecutive year, the collaboration with UCSI University’s Institute of Creative Arts and Design continues to showcase Malaysia’s cultural heritage through innovation, creativity, and youthful expression.

From 27 August to 1 September 2025, the mall’s Centre Court will be transformed into a cultural hub where heritage meets modern creativity. Visitors can witness an inspiring line-up of cultural showcases and hands-on experiences, including:

  • 16 Batik Fashion Installation Artworks (6–10 ft tall), reimagining Malaysia’s 13 states and 3 Federal Territories into bold, avant-garde fashion pieces.
  • 16 Iconic Standee Displays (5–6 ft tall), celebrating unity in diversity with modern interpretations of state and federal motifs.
  • The Batik ArtWrap Chery Car Installation, debuting at Pavilion Bukit Jalil, merging tradition with modern automotive design.
  • Hands-on Batik Workshops and Live Demonstrations by local artisans, offering a chance to experience the artistry of batik up close.
  • Zero-Waste Creativity Booths by KB Colour / AniKertas x Posterlite, showcasing how sustainability and culture can go hand-in-hand.
  • Interactive cultural games such as Tic! Tic! Bomb!!!, Smack Deck, and Nab in the Dark, alongside artist sharing sessions by DuDu and fun Merdeka-themed activities for children.
