If you vote on 9 May, not only can you save our country, but you can also enjoy a (well-deserved) bowl of free bak kut teh!

Das right, the restaurant owner of Eng Chun Bak Kut Teh has recently posted on Facebook that he will belanja those who go out and vote on 9 May 2018. Thank you, sir!

He wrote,

“This is a crucial moment for our country, and everyone has the responsibility (to determine the future of our country). We want to encourage Klang-ites to vote on 9 May.”

“After casting your votes, please do come to our shops and help yourselves to a bowl of free bak kut teh!”

“The black indelible ink on your finger will serve as proof that you’ve voted”, he added.

On that day, he will be giving out 500 sets of bak kut teh and white rice, which cost RM5,500 in total (each set costs RM11 on a normal day). The shop will start operating at 7am but make sure to come after you’ve voted as those who have yet to vote will still need to pay for their meal. Vote first, then eat!

The boss also urged everyone to vote as early as possible so that the bak kut teh sets can be given out asap. This will give him and his 15 workers ample time to vote in the afternoon.

This fantastic promotion is available at both of their branches, which are located at:

  • 26, Jalan Angsa, Taman Berkely, Klang, Selangor
  • 27-G, Lorong Dato Yusf Shabudin 29a, Taman Sentosa, Klang, Selangor

So guys, make sure you vote on 9 May and treat yourselves to a delicious bowl of bak kut teh at either of these locations right after!
