This New Platform Allows S’poreans To Have Groceries From JB Delivered To Their Doorstep
It’s no secret that Singaporeans prefer shopping in Johor. After all, purchasing groceries and petrol in Malaysia is way more affordable for them.
But, now that there’s a pandemic and borders are closed, a small e-commerce platform has been created to help Singaporeans have groceries delivered to their doorstep, from Johor Bahru.
Buy-JB, Your New Causeway took to their Facebook page to introduce themselves.
They wrote, “Welcome to BuyJB, Your New Causeway. Get your groceries at BuyJB, Your New Causeway, at very attractive prices and with a wide and growing range of products everyday. Consumables are checked for their halal status to give consumers in the halal market peace of mind.”
“With more than 1,700 products to choose from, it’s always exciting to shop at BuyJB, Your New Causeway. Shop now at buyjb.com.sg.”
The service also comes with a $20 (RM60.85) shipping fee to have groceries from JB delivered all the way to Singaporean doorsteps.
Though, it seems many Singaporeans are condemning the service, sharing that their own local grocery and sundry shops need more support.
Many of them also do not believe that the delivery cost is worth the purchases, and that the prices of groceries are not as affordable as thought.
While the purchases would help business owners in JB, it is rather refreshing to see how Singaporeans are standing up for their local business owners.
