We only have less than two weeks left for our 61st Merdeka celebration and one Malaysian company has decided to reward us with free food to commemorate our national day. Who doesn’t love free food, right?

The generous company is known as S&P Industries, and they would like to celebrate the days leading up to Merdeka Day (31 August 2018) by giving out FREE packets of nasi lemak at designated places in the Klang Valley, according to The Malay Mail. YASS!

FYI, S&P Industries is the very company that is famous for distributing packed powdered coconut milk brand, Santan which is a staple in every Malaysian kitchen all over the nation.

It’s that powdered santan that our mothers like to use to masak curry one!

That said, this free giveaway will start its first session tomorrow (21 August 2018) at Bukit Jalil LRT Station from 6.30am to 10.30am. If you travel via Bukit Jalil LRT Station, don’t forget to grab your free nasi lemak!

The second and third free nasi lemak giveaways will take place at the following time, date and venue mentioned below:

  • Thursday, 23 August 2018: Wangsa Maju LRT Station (6.30am – 10.30am)
  • Friday, 24 August 2018: Wisma Yap Kwan Seng Office Block (11.30am – 2.30pm)

Adding on, their company representative, Liew Mei Ling reportedly told The Malay Mail that their giveaway doesn’t stop with only nasi lemak because there’s actually more. Ahh, just what we want to hear.

She was quoted as saying,

“We are giving them (nasi lemak) out in conjunction with the Merdeka celebration and we are also giving out goody bags with Santan powdered products for free.”

More santan? Yes please!

Plus, they also shared that they will donate some money to a charity organisation if people share what they love most about being Malaysian on the company’s Facebook page.

She explained,

“We want people to post on our Facebook what they love about being Malaysian. For every post, we will donate RM1 to a charity organisation.”

Can’t wait to get that scrumptious nasi lemak and santan products already? Then don’t forget to get your hands on them on the dates and locations mentioned above.

Don’t miss out, guys!
