If you love strolling around a night market looking for cheap and delicious street food, Shilin night market has to be on top of your list as it’s one of the biggest and most popular night markets in Taiwan. However, if you’re not visiting the country anytime soon, fret not, because it’s coming to Singapore! That’s so close to us!
Organised by Invade, this pop-up Shilin Night Market concept will be held in Singapore Turf Club and visitors can expect a huge variety of Taiwanese and Singaporean street food from 137 pop-up stalls that’ll be set up there. Here are some of the stalls that will be participating in this event, according to its Facebook page.
Not only do they know how to make delicious buns, D’bun will also be serving up rice with braised meat (lu rou fan), which is a true Taiwanese classic dish!
2. Sushi Express Singapore
Enjoy a different experience when eating fresh sushi off the conveyor belt while being surrounded by the hustle and bustle of Shilin Night Market.
3. Playmade by ONEZO
To make a good cup of bubble tea, the pearls have to be on-point, and Playmade by ONEZO definitely knows a thing or two when it comes to this as they serve some of the best handmade pearls you’ll ever taste.
4. i love taimei 我爱台妹
We’re not sure if you love Taiwanese girls (‘taimei’ means Taiwanese girls) because it really depends on individual preference, but what we do know is that you will definitely fall in love with this vendor’s popcorn chicken and brown sugar fresh milk!
5. Gong Cha
Teaming up with tokidoki, Gong Cha will be launching three new flavours namely Rosa Latte, Berry Biscotti, and Bambu Boba. Bubble tea lovers, you know what to do. 😉
6. Ai-Yu jelly
If there’s a perfect dessert to counter the heat from our weather, it’s THIS one.
Your food-hunting trip to the night market wouldn’t be complete without trying the XXL chicken that is bigger than your palm and you can get all that goodness from this stall!
