Now, we all know that Malaysian food is the bomb, and we won’t let anyone tell us otherwise.

But, what we will do though, is bask in the glory of a foreigner praising our local cuisines and food franchises, especially if the person doing the praising is a celebrity.

Taiwanese singer, Harlem Yu 庾澄慶, took to his Facebook page to sing the praises of local food chain, Ali, Muthu & Ah Hock.

He wrote, “The fusion of the Malay Ali, the Indian Muthu and the Chinese Ah Hock, three ethnic foods. Delicious to eat! We are the world!”

People have since taken to Harlem’s post to share their agreement with him while also commending Malaysian food in general.

“This is a very famous shop, (they have) a lot of tasty food.”

Amah 4

“I really want to go back to Malaysia to eat nasi lemak, roti canai, satay, bak kut teh, fried tomato fried kuey teow…”

Amah 5

“Welcome to Malaysia. Three ethnic meals, can always try all three different flavours.”

See, this is why when it comes to food, we will always support local.
