For many employees, they would often look forward to their company’s annual dinner as it’s a great time to get together and destress. Unfortunately for employees from this company in Taiwan, it seems like their annual dinner didn’t offer a great experience.

Just recently, an employee from a Taiwanese company has shared his experience having his company’s annual dinner. While most people would expect that it would at least be held in a restaurant, it appears that their office has decided on an in-house hotpot dinner.

In his post he said,

“Has anyone encountered a company that is very stingy? The company that I’m currently in decided to have our annual dinner by making all of us share one single hotpot.

If you think that’s the worst, it’s not. We later found out that the hotpot soup packet was given by one of our clients and the company was only responsible for some vegetables and a few meat platters.”

He then mentioned that the dinner would’ve been much mor enjoyable if they had hotpot at a restaurant instead as it just seems insincere.

“If it’s that hard to organise a simple annual company dinner, then I would rather they not organise anything at all”, he said.

Following his post, a netizen took to the comment section to share that her company treated all of them for a barbeque dinner and asked if they’re willing to take a 2-month unpaid leave.

“After dinner, all of us quit on the same day and the company eventually shut down after our last dinner”, she said.
