Recently, Health Minister, Khairy Jamaluddin shared that the Ministry does, in fact, recognise and allow the use of medical marijuana products, as long as it is in compliance with the law.

Muar MP, Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman has since taken to his Facebook page to hint the possibility of medical marijuana being more accessible to the public.

He wrote, “On the issue of medical cannabis. I have brought up the issue of medical cannabis in Parliament twice now. Finally, we managed to set up a Medical Cannabis Caucus comprised of parliament members from all parties, to take the country’s medical sector further forward.”

“This time, the Minister of Health has also announced that he is ready for the adaptation of medical cannabis in the public health sector.”

Khairy himself has yet to make any public announcements on this matter.

Stay tuned for more updates!
