House chores are not gender-specific tasks, but a Malaysian influencer and TikToker recently made a bold claim by saying that men who do house chores are ‘gay’.

He mentioned that men are supposed to provide financially for the family by conquering the world, and said that men who do house chores are lazy.

Malaysian influencer says men who do house chores are ‘gay’

The said influencer, DMA Islam, who has made controversial remarks in the past, added that men who are tasked with house chores are also a sign that they are being disrespected by their wives, simply because they are afraid of their partners.

“Have you ever seen a King sweeping the castle?”

“If you’re at home doing chores, it means you’re too lazy to be out there to conquer the world because you choose to wash the dishes, sweep the rubbish, and change your baby’s diapers.”

In his viral threads, DMA also dubbed men who do house chores “losers” and “stupid”, saying that as a husband, a man should be the best, the strongest, and the most respected. He added that only a wife who does not respect her husband will task the man with house chores.

“Your wife doesn’t respect you, of course, she’ll tell you to do the house chores.”

Previously, DMA also claimed that the Mass Communication program in universities is pointless, saying the students are merely having fun throughout their studies. He also expressed his desire to see Youth and Sports Minister Hannah Yeoh being reassigned to the logistics department after her Ministry cancelled his boxing match.

Men who happily do house chores at home, what do you think of DMA’s blunt statement?
