Everyone is waiting for the next Covid-19 update announcement from the authorities in which they’ll reveal if the current Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) is extended, or not.

With the anxiety boiling from the nerves, it’s easy to fall prey to falsified information that is circulating online.

This posting has been shared on social media and through WhatsApp, informing the general public that the CMCO has been extended for another month, until 3 January.

This is FALSE.

False

Additionally, the Malaysian National Security Council (MKN) Facebook page took to their profile to confirm this.

They wrote,

“THIS IS FALSE!! Not sure, don’t share.”

The best thing to do in situations like this is to wait for the official report and announcement from the authorities or to check government portals for official statements.
