Taking to TikTok, this netizen shared how this roadside stall collects discarded bamboo sticks and reuses them to feed customers.

“Only when I’ve finished eating did I notice that the stall owner will reuse bamboo sticks previously used by other patrons.”

“I am also a business owner and never in my life have I ever seen this happening.”

Netizens who viewed the TikTok was divided in opinion stating that what happened may not have been the case.

Several netizens pointed out that there was no evidence that the seller reused the bamboo sticks, but merely packed in separately to be discarded, in fear that the pointy edges may tear the rubbish bag.

Let’s hope that the authorities will look into this matter seriously, to not only protect consumers but business owners, too.
