Living with other people, whether you’re all in the same house or condo unit, or you live close by as neighbours, comes with its own set of challenges.

If you’ve shared a space with other people before, you’d know the struggle of tolerating and coordinating your differences, which most of the time are still solvable. But not when someone decides to be an “idiot”!

Unfortunately, this is the kind of person a Singaporean is facing in his apartment complex in Toa Payoh.

In a post made in the Facebook group, COMPLAINT SINGAPORE, Valiant Khong shares about the “unhygienic and unhealthy” practices of a neighbour.

Window as rubbish bin

“This idiot pours urine from his bedroom window every morning between 5am to 6am. He’ll also always litter cigarette butts, sanitary pads, tissue paper and food waste,” shared Valiant in the post.

In the video he shared, it’s obvious that someone poured a cup of liquid from the third floor window.

According to Valiant, he has complained about the situation to the Singapore National Environmental Agency (NEA) many times over the last few months but the agency has only given the culprit some warnings.

“Ask them to catch culprit, they only give warnings. Ask them to install video cam, they give other excuses. Luckily, someone recorded the culprit and shared it with my neighbourhood.”

Appealing to the government

Consequently, Valiant questioned the Singapore government on why so little has been done to tackle issues like this one.

“When our founding father was around, authorities were more strict about high rise littering. But what’s happened now?”

He also urged the authorities to take more stern action as the unhygienic and unhealthy practice is not good, especially because there’re little children in the vicinity.

“Singapore, my homeland, our 1st world country, should stop all these culprits from committing the same offences.”

This idiot every morning between 5am to 6am pour urine from bedroom window and always litter cigarette butts, kotex, tissue papers, waste food, etc. Complained to NEA so many times for a few months. Ask them to catch culprit, they only give warnings. Ask them to install video cam, they give other excuses. Luckily, somebody video the culprit and share with my neighbourhood. Our government, when our founding father was around, authorities are harsh on high rise littering. But what happen now???? I urged our Authorities to do something. We all have little children around the vicinity. It's so unhygiene and unhealthy nowadays. Singapore, my homeland, our 1st world country in the world, should stop all these culprits from committing the same offences.

Talk about disgusting! We hope the culprit will be dealt with soon.
