For the longest time, Malaysia and Singapore have been ‘rivals‘ when it comes to food. Many Malaysians think that their food is better than Singapore while Singaporeans would think the food in their country is better.

Jackson Wang who is currently on his Magic Man World Tour, was in Singapore over the weekend. A video clip of him at his concert has gone viral and it has caught many netizens’ attention.

In a 22-second video posted by Mothership, Jackson Wang said,

I know there are a lot of places in the world that sell Hainanese Chicken Rice and I’ve tried many of them, but I got to say, the best Hainan Chicken Rice I have had is in Singapore.”

Following his short speech, many Singaporeans were thrilled to hear that, and the video has since garnered a lot of attention. That being said, many netizens from Malaysia and Singapore left their two cents regarding his opinion.

One of the netizens commented jokingly that Singapore food comes from Malaysia because the country was originally from Malaysia.

Another netizen commented saying that Jackson’s judgement wasn’t fair as Malaysia is suffering from a shortage of chickens.

This netizen thinks that Malaysians will always think their food is the best and nothing can change their mind.
