Yesterday, videos of a snatch thief getting caught began to quickly circulate on Facebook, garnering praise from Malaysian netizens.

The incident apparently transpired in Melaka when a snatch thief tried to rob a pregnant woman right in the middle of a Ramadan bazaar!

However, the thief was caught before he could get away, thanks to the quick thinking citizens who witnessed the crime taking place.

Videos of the incident were uploaded yesterday on the Info Roadblock Jpj/polis Facebook page, showing the exact moment the thief got cornered by the vigilant citizens.

One of the videos showed the pregnant victim, who was visibly distraught by the robbery.

Thankfully, there were a few passerby who comforted her and made sure she was unharmed.

In another video, the thief was successfully arrested by the police. It is unclear whether or not he has been released yet.

These videos garnered a lot of positive attention from Malaysian netizens, many of them praising the citizens who managed to catch the thief in time.
