One of the hardest decisions to make in life is what to have for dinner. What makes the decision harder would be if you’re on a vacation and didn’t do any proper planning.

Recently, 2 sisters from Hunan who decided to take a trip to LiuZhou, Kwangsi found themselves in this predicament. As they didn’t plan their itinerary, they were struggling to decide what to eat.

As they were walking around their hotel, they then noticed that a couple was having the wedding reception at the hotel.

“I just remembered that I had a few extra red packets lying around in my bag after our brother’s wedding, so I thought maybe we could give the wedding couple a red packet and then have our dinner there,” said one of the sisters.

After a brief discussion, they agreed to give a $200RMB (RM130) angpao to the couple if they let them have dinner at their reception.

They mentioned that they’ve contemplated for a while before mustering up the courage to ask the bride and groom if they could “crash” their wedding reception and have dinner.

To their surprise, the bride and groom were very nice and accommodating about it. They agreed to let them have dinner at their reception and became friends after this.

This story has since garnered attention on Xiao Hong Shu when one of the sisters decided to share this funny incident.

Some of the comments were saying that if they aren’t sure what to eat in the future, they may just ask if they could “crash” a wedding reception instead. But the sisters did warn netizens that they were at LiuZhou, a city that is known for having really kind and considerate people.

Do you think Malaysians would welcome strangers to their wedding reception?
