Being a good parent means showing unconditional love to your kids and you will try your best to protect them from any harm. That’s why Harris Baba, a Singaporean singer based in Malaysia, was furious after his beloved daughter suffered second degree burns.

Apparently, a very hot light fixture fell from the ceiling of the Louis Vuitton (LV) boutique in Gardens shopping mall directly on his infant daughter and Baba shared the incident on Instagram.

He said, “A very hot light cover from the high ceiling that was loose fell directly on Baby Aleena causing her to have 2nd degree superficial burn on her face and both her hands. Please be extra careful, guys. Being such a big and an international brand such as Louis Vuitton, maintenance is not taken care of.”

“The wound will take months to heal and we will have to send her for laser afterwards to remove the scar. We take care of Aleena so well but due to other people’s negligence and mistake, Aleena had to pay the price. A simple thing like fixing a light also couldn’t be done properly in such a big and well known boutique. “

Baba added that they had made a police report and engaged a “really good lawyer” as he plans to pursue legal action. In a separate Instagram post, he said that he was planning to sue LV not because he wants the money but because he wants them to take this matter seriously.

Although the store’s management had apologised to him, Baba said that the situation is not acceptable as he “cannot forgive and forget them so easily”.

“I’m suing and fining the boutique so that this accident doesn’t ever happen again to someone else’s son or daughter or to anyone! I’m suing and fining them so that they never take this matter lightly ever again. So that they make sure they take very well care of their maintenance and safety towards their customers,” he explained.

Harris, whose full name is Khawaja Mohammad Harris Baba, rose to fame when he entered the talent search reality show in Singapore called The Final 1. He has also appeared in two local television dramas here, Alien Planet Cinta and Cinta Viral.

Get well soon, Aleena! We wish you a speedy recovery!
