Recent times have been tough, economically. There are a lot of unemployed and indebted people around the world. Simply paying bills alone can be taxing. Taxing, geddit, geddit?

Regardless of the currency we earn and splurge on, it simply just isn’t enough. From paying rents, transportation, food, and even daily necessities take up a huge portion of our income.

Can you imagine how much more money we spend on entertainment and other things? People barely have enough for savings!

So when push comes to shove, people get creative. A Singaporean came up with the idea of re-selling branded paper bags to make some extra moola, Mothership reported.

Yep, you read that right. She sells ONLY the paper bags, which means the contents are empty.

And these prices aren’t cheap either. The Carouseller is putting these pretty but empty bags up for sale from SGD4 (RM12.42) to SGD12 (RM37.27)!!!

Of course, these bags are only the sibeh atas brands such as Louis Vuitton, Ted Baker, and Chanel lah. Who would want to buy supermarket plastic bags or lousy looking paper bags, right?

Surely it’s the brand and even the quality of the paper bags that attract people’s attention.

It’s also a pretty good idea to get these bags as spoof gifts. People will receive the bag thinking they might find a product related to it but then voila, it’s something else entirely.

But the real question is….would you actually BUY these paper bags?
