Victims of fatal Johor crash to receive PERKESO benefits
Following the incident, PERKESO announced that two of the injured victims have become the first recipients of benefits under the Non-Employment Injury Scheme (SKBBK), or “Lindung 24 Jam”, since it came into effect on 1 June.
Husnizam Hisamudin and Muhammad Amirul Hazim Misnon were confirmed to be active contributors under Act 4, making them eligible for sick leave payments and permanent disability benefits under PERKESO’s Lindung 24 Jam scheme.

“Preliminary medical assessments showed that Husnizam suffered injuries to his shoulder and arm, while Muhammad Amirul sustained injuries to his mouth. As a result, both are also eligible for implant treatment, rehabilitation equipment, and rehabilitation services based on their respective needs, with no limit on the support provided,” PERKESO said in a statement.
Meanwhile, the families of the deceased victims who lost their lives in the crash are also eligible to receive benefits under the Employees’ Social Security Act 1969 (Lindung Pekerja).
