If you’ve been on social media lately, you would’ve seen many #throwback pictures of your friends from a decade ago. That’s because the #10YearChallenge is currently trending and everyone including international celebrities and famous Malaysians are taking the time to dig up their old snaps to show their followers their “glo-up” process.
Since our local personalities and notable leaders are also hopping on the bandwagon, we figured now’s the perfect time to take a look at how some of them have changed over the last 10 years.
1. Tony Fernandes (CEO of AirAsia)
It looks like Tony Fernandes has gotten a more matured, manlier look.
2. Amber Chia (Model and Founder of the Amber Chia Academy)
We want some of her genes because damn, she hasn’t aged a single day!
3. Yuna (Musician)
Yuna looks so cute back then – and now, she has blossomed into a stylish, elegant and talented woman!
4. Datuk Lee Chong Wei (Professional Badminton Player)
Time to stick to a regular badminton routine since Datuk Lee Chong Wei’s athletic lifestyle has certainly kept him looking the same in a decade.
5. Datuk Nicol Ann David (Professional Squash Player)
#FitFam Nicol David still looks youthful, happy and energetic then and now!
6. Henry Golding (Actor)
Look at that baby face when he was featured in CLEO!
Who would’ve guessed that he would be a leading Asian actor in Hollywood’s Crazy Rich Asians 10 years later? Those years have done Henry well because all the ladies are now swooning over his dashing good looks.
7. Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Michelle Yeoh (Actress)
Can we look THIS good too when we’re her age?! We wonder what’s her secret because she’s ageing like fine wine!
8. Siti Nurhaliza (Singer)
Malaysia’s pop princess still looks stunning with that warm smile and I bet her fans will agree!
9. Namewee (Musician)
Our favourite hip-hop artist sure looks more rugged after a decade, in a good way no less.
10. DSV (Singer)
Dato’ Seri Vida’s style looks a bit more modern and elegant these days but she still maintains her signature single-tone dressing.
11. Rosmah Mansor (Former First Lady)
Rosmah seems to be more fond of sporting a head scarf in recent years instead of showing off her locks. Also, we don’t know if our eyes are playing tricks on us but we also think her eyebrow arches look a little higher now!
12. Najib Razak (Former Prime Minister)
Meanwhile, our former PM has gotten more grey strands on his head over the years. That said, at least he’s motivated to stay young and fit by hitting the gym more often!
