Just three days ago, a series of screenshots was shared on Facebook about how a Malaysian woman got scammed RM5,000 online buying a Chanel Bag.

Check out how this unfortunate event happened via the screenshots below:

“The first payment must be 50% first and for monthly payments it depends on you and a maximum of 6 months instalments dear.”

The scammer convincingly answered all her questions and provided “proof” of authenticity which also turned out to be a fake.

The scammer pressured the buyer to fill up the form and make the payment!

After a series of questions that the scammer had answered persuasively, the first payment was made.

That’s when the scammer revealed that a FULL payment must be given prior to the item being shipped out!

The scammer tried reeling the victim in even more by offering a further 30% discount.

However, the seller stopped replying after that and a police report has been lodged.

The seller apparently was contacted via this IG page which has a convincing number of engagements on its posts.

Lets take this tale as a reminder to be extra careful when shopping online especially when it comes to luxurious goods or the money paid will be wasted!
