It’s time to be honest, if interstate travel was allowed, we would be moving to these states. As Malaysia records 15,764 new Covid-19 cases today (2 August), it’s hard to believe that we would ever leave the first phase of the National Recovery Plan.

In a statement, Prime Minister, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin announced that Perlis, Sarawak and Labuan will be moving into Phase Three of the National Recovery Plan. Going into the Third Phase for these states that most daily activities and businesses will be allowed to resume as usual. Those in the state will also be allowed to dine in at restaurants and stalls.

Muhyiddin

Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin also added in the statement that after a discussion with the National Security Council (MKN), the government will be announcing relaxation offered to those who have completed their vaccination.

“I would also like to emphasize here that the government’s strategy is to provide vaccinations to as many adults as possible in Malaysia to ensure that the country’s recovery can be carried out smoothly.”

For the states that will be going into the Third Phase, Perlis Menteri Besar reminded in a statement that they will still need to be obeying strict SOPs at all times. MKN is yet to announce a full list of SOPs for these states.

Calling those Malaysians not currently in the aforementioned states, when do you think you will be moving into the Third Phase?
