Acting out of the frustration of being cheated of getting a bride, a civil servant beat up a female customer service agent who was acting as a matchmaker, after he had paid her RM2,500 for her services.

According to a report by Astro Awani, the Cheras District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Muhammad Idzam Jaafar shared that the incident happened when the 35-year-old suspect went to the victim’s office in Chan Sow Lin before bringing her into the elevator.

CCTV footage from inside the elevator has since gone viral online as the suspect then proceeded to beat the woman before dragging her out of the lift by her hair when they arrived at a bottom floor.
