Police officers who arrived at the scene discovered the bodies of a 46-year-old woman and her two daughters, aged 12 and 11, inside one of the rooms in the house. All three victims were Malaysian nationals. During the inspection of the room, investigators also found a container believed to contain burnt charcoal remains. The item has been seized as part of the ongoing investigation.

In his official statement on Friday morning (31 July), Najib said a preliminary examination carried out by the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) forensic team, together with a forensic pathologist, found no visible injuries or indications of criminal elements on the bodies.

“Initial findings did not reveal any signs of physical injury or foul play.”

The case has been classified as a sudden death while investigators continue to establish the exact circumstances and cause of the deaths. Post-mortem examinations were scheduled to be conducted on Friday to assist investigators in determining the cause of death and to complete the investigation.

In the meantime, Najib also urged the public to refrain from speculating or sharing unverified information while the investigation remains ongoing.
