Stealing is bad (not to mention illegal) but doing it in front of your very own impressionable young kids is definitely a big no-no!

A netizen recently shared a post on Facebook along with some footage from a CCTV which showed a family with two young children on a normal day out in a shopping mall on November 17. However, when they reached this famous pet store, the parents decided to steal a pet carrier, right in front of their kids. Is that a good example to set for your kids?

Apparently, the incident happened at a shopping mall in Klang and in the video that lasted over a minute, a couple with one kid in a stroller and a little girl can be seen walking nonchalantly into the pet store. The couple lingers around the entrance with the stroller while their daughter runs inside the store.

However, when the little girl comes running back to her parents, suddenly, the father scolds and hits her. Meanwhile, they seem to be looking around to see whether the coast is clear while inspecting a couple of pet carriers that are located at the entrance.

The family turns around, pretending that they want to leave the store while the father continues gesticulating and talking to the mother pushing the stroller. Suddenly, the mother takes one of the pet carriers while the father takes the baby out of the stroller and the pet carrier is swiftly placed inside the stroller.

The whole family proceeds to leave the store immediately, probably not noticing that their every action was caught on a nearby CCTV. The video garnered much attention online as other netizens were quick to slam the parents for doing such a despicable act in front of their children.

Based on the comments, it appears that the pet carrier costs RM129.90 but what puzzled commenters the most was the need to steal one. It’s not exactly a daily necessity, right? Some of them said, “So, they can afford to have a pet but can’t afford to buy a carrier?”

Others also criticised the father for hitting his daughter and said that they hope the kids won’t follow the adults’ bad example.

Your kids will learn from your actions, parents, so raise them the right way!
