Kedah Menteri Besar, Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor recently cleared up rumours about him marrying another woman.

During a speech at the SG4 conference in Bangi recently, which was shared on Sanusi’s Facebook account, the politician confirmed that he had tied the knot with a policewoman in her 40s. His 1st wife, Tok Puan Jusmalailani Jusoh consented to the marriage.

“Every process is done according to the rules. We had a simple solemnisation ceremony in Alor Setar. Only close family members and relatives attended. Thank God, the ceremony was perfect and went smoothly,” Sanusi said.

During the ceremony, Sanusi’s 1st wife and all five of his children attended the wedding.

Previously, it was alleged that Sanusi married a police officer as his 2nd wife. The news, however, was not confirmed until Sanusi recently confirmed the matter himself.

“I didn’t want to speak about it because I don’t want the matter to be sensationalised.”

However, the politician jokingly said that he felt “pity” for the reporters who were chasing for an answer, so he decided to open up a little about his recent marriage.

“I don’t think there is any issue with this marriage. I still have 2 more quotas,” Sanusi added.

“Workplace romance?”

Sanusi also shed some details about his police wife and said they met during an investigation of a bombing case at the residence of a minister.

“I met her to speak about the case when a team of police came to record a statement. She then became friends with my 1st wife.”

According to him, both his wives went to a religious class together before the marriage, and highlighted that the dating life after marriage is a “beautiful one.” Sanusi also urged the public to stop making speculations about his marriage life.

“Give us some privacy,” he said.

Best wishes to Sanusi and his family.
