Silly mistakes can happen to anyone, and there’s nothing much that can be done except trying our best to rectify the issue. That doesn’t mean said resolution can’t be utterly hilarious though.
A recent TikTok clip has been making waves online after one couple recorded a timelapse of reversing their car out of their porch. While the premise of the video seems fairly uninteresting at first glance, a deeper look into the clip revealed why this couple’s momentary misfortune was actually the source of a hilarious moment.
Shared by a Malaysian woman named Kak Mieya to her account @camieyaw, the quick video displayed that the couple’s car was actually blocked by another vehicle that was parked behind them. Having no choice but to patiently reverse and drive forward multiple times, Kak Mieya’s husband consistently manoeuvred the car to the side before eventually getting out of their driveway.
Receiving a massive wave of responses online, many users found a comedic side to the display, making jokes about alternatives the couple could have done to get their car out.
“Just buy a new car,” jested one user, while another said they should have just moved their house and drove the car forward. Another user even suggested that Kak Mieya’s husband simply pick the car up and place it outside.
“Thank goodness you did a timelapse, if not it would have been morning by the time the clip ended,” joked one user.
Some even light-heartedly mentioned that they would never be able to do this, and would possibly just give up due to their impatience.
In one of the comments addressing the matter, Kak Mieya clarified that the unfortunate inconvenience took place due to her father having left his car in the couple’s porch, but accidentally taking the keys with him once he left.
