2 Malaysian men are currently on their way to Makkah, Saudi Arabia, to perform their 2025 Hajj pilgrimage by walking 8,000km to their destination from Bagan Serai, Perak. Having just left Malaysia and entered Thailand, it is believed that it’ll take them 6 months to reach Makkah.

The duo garnered a lot of attention from people supporting their efforts, with many of these supporters showing up throughout the duo’s walking journey while they were still in Malaysia. But, it is what the supporters did that is now going viral.

JalalMisai took to his X page to point out how the duo’s supporters had crowded onto a main road, disrupting road users.

He wrote, “Wanting to show support for the ones walking to Makkah is not wrong. But don’t gather on the road until 3 lanes have to become 1 lane like that. It is visible that the lorry driver had gotten angry.”

In the video showcased, a lorry carrying a huge trailer had to go around the crowd gathering to show their support for the duo walking to Makkah, as the duo took up the middle lane while the crowd took up the left lane of the road. Behind them, a traffic jam had formed.

“The cause of the traffic jam is the people escorting them. If you want to earn blessings by greeting (the duo) while giving alms, wait at mosques or the appropriate checkpoints,” he added.
