Cases of floods have been piling up over the course of these past few weeks. Floods in the East Coast of Malaysia have affected countless families. Some have even lost their lives.

However, our next-door ASEAN neighbour, Thailand, has actually been facing floods of their own too. But, the difference is that the Thailand citizens are making it seem like its a tourist destination. What?

Regardless of floods being a form of natural disasters, this has not stopped citizens and tourists from having some ‘fun’.

In a post that has been circulating on various pages and groups on social media, pictures showing Thai citizens posing in crystal clear water at Pattani, Thailand is actually…flood water.

Keadaan "banjir" di Pattani, Thailand. Sungguh jernih air die tuu. Kalu gini laaa keadaan air banjir. Banjir sokmo dkpe?

Many Malaysians have been sharing the post around, envying the fact that the flood over there is ‘beautiful’. The caption of the post reads, “if this is the condition of floodwater, floods would always be wanted.”

Although the whole thing may just be a joke, many netizens are falling for these pictures that are most likely to have been photoshopped.

Some netizens were observant enough to point out little flaws in the pictures to indicate that it is actually fake.

Some even attempted to edit pictures of floods in Malaysia to look exactly like the ones in Thailand. Here’s a hilarious one edited by a netizen named Mazlan Halim, of Ebit Lew making his way through ‘crystal clear’ floodwaters.

All jokes aside, we hope netizens will take more precautions and verify the information you see online. Not everything you see online is real. So, take note!
