Blessings come in many forms, and having a bunch of good buddies who are there for you through the dirt seems to be a blessing that some of us tend to overlook.
Recently, a man named Farhan, from Parit Buntar, Perak took to his TikTok account to share a warm surprise which was planned by his peers for a good buddy of theirs.
It all started when their friend, Nazrul lost his wallet, and knowing that he was about to embark on a new journey in university, Farhan and his friends planned something to ease Nazrul’s life.
Prior to entering university on October 10, Nazrul spoke about getting himself a new device, but he had to bail on the idea after he lost his wallet. Nazrul refused to ask his parents, so he simply wanted to wait for another opportunity to get himself a new device.
Little did he know, his friends, including Farhan, took the liberty to create a WhatsApp group without Nazrul’s knowledge, and discussed among themselves about raising money to get Nazrul a new device.
Since Nazrul is pursuing his studies at a university in Terengganu, his friends bought him a laptop instead. They surveyed different shops around the area and finally, they managed to find one that suited their budget.
The Lenovo laptop costed them around RM1,700, to which all of them contributed a little. One of them actually contributed as much as RM1,000. In an event “disguised” as a reunion dinner, Nazrul’s friend surprised him with the new laptop.
Which sent Nazrul into tears.
One of them told Nazrul, “You used to help me back then. And in return, I’m helping you back now.”
Farhan also said that Nazrul was not born rich, but he has a habit of buying his friends random meals from time to time.
