When it comes to online dating, one of the things you should do other than making sure of your safety is to meet the person in real life. This would help you make sure if both parties are on the same page and if this connection could turn into a potential relationship.

Online dating may not be easy as there are some differences when it comes to meeting in-person and texting online. Unfortunately for this man, it seems like his experience with online dating hasn’t been the best.

In his post he said,

“I realised that once you’ve met someone online and both of you decide to meet up, the first thing that girls would look at, is the car you drive.

I drive a Perodua Bezza, and I noticed that the girls that I’ve met up with completely lose interest in me after seeing the car I drive.”

He mentioned that he gets about RM6,00o a month but because his salary would depend on the commission he gets, occasionally he’d get about RM10,000 a month.

“I was in a rush when I wanted to buy a car and I just bought a Perodua Bezza. So, to other guys out there, if you want to buy a car, please buy a ‘better’ car.

It doesn’t have to be a Honda, Mercedes, BMW or a Toyota, a Proton is better than a Perodua.”

He then ended the post saying that he doesn’t think girls are materialistic, it’s just a first impression they get when they see a guy driving a Bezza. Maybe to them, it’s just too normal.

Many netizens disagreed with his post and here’s what some of them said:

“I usually look at the guy’s face, then I look at how clean his car is. The luxury cars that guys drive could be rented.”

“I never really cared about the car a guy drives or how he looks. But I do care about his driving skills, it has to be good.”

“The transport I take to work took billions of Ringgits to build. (MRT)”

“I don’t really care about the car a guy drives, but I do care about how well the car is being maintained and cleaned.”

In all seriousness, it’s best to not judge a person based on the car they drive. Cars are a means of transportation, and it shouldn’t be something you use to judge a person.
