New gadgets don’t come cheap these days, so whenever a new phone begins experiencing problems not long after you’ve purchased it, it can be understandably frustrating. However, this doesn’t mean that you should go on a rage and start a fight with the staff in the shop! They’re probably just as clueless!

According to Oriental Daily, this case happened in Johor Bahru yesterday, December 12 at around 11am when a customer dressed in an orange shirt entered a well-known electronics store. He had purchased a new phone costing about RM4,000 at the shop about two months ago, but it wasn’t working well now.

A netizen saw the fight happening and took a video, which went viral. Later, the staff involved in the fight, Jacky came forward to explain about the fight and shared CCTV footage of the whole incident. At first, the customer was telling one of the female employees that he could not turn on his phone.

She explained to him that it could be a software problem and requested that the customer proceed to their service centre at Taman Molek for repairs. That was when he started to get angry and shouted, “You ask me to send my phone to the service centre, which means I won’t have a phone to use during this time?” Chill lah, bro!

He demanded that the staff perform a 1-to-1 warranty for him but Jacky said that they do not have such a policy. The customer then said he wanted to see the manager and Jacky came forward to try and explain the store’s warranty policy to the irate customer.

The angry customer said, “I bought this phone which costs around RM4,000 but yet, all of you can’t change a new one for me? What is this? Are you all trying to cheat customers?” After saying this, he started pushing Jacky and a scuffle ensued. At one point, they were grappling around on the floor while the shocked staff tried to stop them but was unsuccessful.

Luckily, a man dressed in a green shirt passed by and saw the fight. He quickly ran into the shop and broke up the fight before further damage could be done. Good Samaritan! Then, it looked like the customer was going to go away from the shop but he suddenly attempts to pick up a chair and start another fight; thankfully, the man in the green shirt stopped him.

Jacky also apparently said that he would be making a police report after the incident.
