It is so awesome that social media platforms can connect us to people on the other side of the world.

Recently, a Malaysian by the name of Cinta has gone on Twitter to look for her long-lost father.

“Does anyone know this uncle? Maybe he looks older now, I’m trying my luck to look for him because he is my father.”

Speaking to WORLD OF BUZZ, Cinta told us that her parents separated when she was young and she started looking for her father ever since she was 18 years old.

Now that she is 24, she thought she would try her luck on Twitter to see whether it is possible to find him.

A kind-hearted netizen by the name of Azmi said that he looked familiar but maybe they are doppelgangers, the netizen then proceeded to text Cinta just to be sure.

Azmi double-checked with the person he knew and it turns out that it was really Cinta’s dad!

He is living in the rural areas of Sabah and could not afford to have a phone, so Cinta managed to get his brother’s phone number from Azmi to video call her dad.

When it went through, Cinta was introduced to her father and her grandmother, during the call the family was teary-eyed. They even showed her some photos of her when she was younger!

Now that she has found them, Cinta is looking forward to going to Sabah to reunite with them physically.

In order to do that, she is selling home-baked treats and eyelash serums.

We hope that kind netizens will buy what they need from her so that she will be able to afford aeroplane tickets to Sabah!
