Teachers are meant to educate and guide children and youngsters towards building bright futures for themselves and their communities.

But, what happens when a teacher, instead of focusing on their job, becomes… attracted to a student?

A local teacher took to the TwtSecretsMY Twitter page to share a confession, that she believes her 17-year-old student is handsome and is wondering if that makes her a pedophile.

She wrote, “Is it a sin if I find my student handsome? I’m 23-years-old and he’s 17-years-old. And in class, there’s also been gossip that the boy is interested in me. I’m not a pedophile for this, right?”

This confession ultimately left the general public with mixed feelings as some believe the attraction in general is wrong and pedophilic, others think it is okay for her to find the student handsome as long as she doesn’t act on any feelings while he is still her student.

“Feeling like your student is handsome is not a sin. But if you feel like you are falling in love, wait until he had passed 18-years-old. There are stories of teachers marrying male students. (The student is) way younger, a teenager. It became like they were mother and son. What to do if they are a match.”

One netizen even pointed out that should the teacher be a male while the student a female, the teacher would already be under investigation.
