American DJ and music producer Steve Aoki recently returned to Malaysia and performed live for the first time after nine years. And while many Malaysians eagerly waited for this entertainer to make his way back here, there was one casual spot he had to visit before lighting up the stage in Kuala Lumpur.

A recent TikTok clip has been making waves online after one Malaysian named Daniel shared a video to his page @azrhazhr, where he spotted Aoki in Pavilion Kuala Lumpur. In the clip, Daniel revealed that he had seen Aoki and members of his posse having a meal at Madam Kwan’s in the shopping mall.

Stepping on an escalator to go to a higher floor, Daniel recorded the moment as he ascended the incline, capturing Aoki indulging in some Malaysian cuisine as his crew members filmed his reaction.

“As I was going up, I had the will to come down and go back up again because I didn’t have my phone ready with me the first time,” wrote Daniel in the caption of his post.

Going viral on the platform, long-time fans of the DJ were shocked to see him casually eating at a restaurant in Pavilion Kuala Lumpur, so openly yet comfortably.

“And just like that, he got to meet Steve Aoki, man!” wrote another user.

However, one user also queried as to why Daniel did not seize the moment and go up to greet Aoki.
