A local man has been accused of cursing at a mixed rice restaurant’s staff members and slapping one of them, after he felt that the RM13 charged for his meal was too expensive.

According to a report by Sin Chew Daily, the man had allegedly initially paid the RM13 price for his plate of food. Afterwards, however, he apparently decided he was unhappy with the price and confronted the restaurant’s staff members while still at the eatery’s counter.

After hurling curses at them, the staff members ultimately gave the man the RM13 back, and the man left the premises.

But, it doesn’t end there.

About 15 minutes later, the man reportedly returned to the restaurant and slapped one of the employees. The employee was allegedly called outside of the restaurant, where the man continued to berate the employee.

While passersby attempted to mediate the escalating situation, the restaurant’s owner instructed their other employees to call the police.

The restaurant’s owner also explained why the man’s meal came up to RM13.

He reportedly took diced chicken worth RM3.30, chicken nuggets worth RM3, a meat patty worth RM3.30 and 2 bowls of rice worth RM3.40, for a total of RM13.
