According to a write up by Harian Metro, Azhar used to work as a human resources executive in 2005, but then resigned to start his own business (a cake business with his wife). Due to the fact that the business didn’t bring in enough money, he decided to take up a part-time job as a road cleaner, which he began in June last year.

“The money I earn from the business used to help me buy everything my 18 cats at home need, and extra food for strays I find in the streets. But, because business has been quite slow lately, I decided to work as a cleaner with the hopes that it’ll help me buy more cat food, especially for those left uncared-for around highway rest areas”, he said.

Azhar spends a total of RM1,500 a month to buy 3.5kg of cat food a day and travels up to 30km to feed strays at various locations.

In a Facebook post, he stated, “Although I’m down with a fever, I visited this highway rest area, which is 30km from my house, to leave some food and water for the cats.”

Man Cat

For all you cat lovers out there, isn’t this man just a God-sent?!
