Who says all a housewife does in a day is cook and clean?

Roslinda Embran, more famously known as Lynda Embran or Miss Rose, is both a housewife AND video game streamer on Facebook who earns RM18,000 from playing PUBG online.

The humble wife and mother said she initially started with only five viewers but she didn’t give up. She persevered and kept trying to improve herself by researching and seeking advice from other streaming gamers online. With her determination, she was able to achieve this five-figure income as her FIRST salary!

However, Lynda admits that it wasn’t always smooth-sailing for her, especially when it came down to the comments other people made about her lifestyle choices.

“They say things like, “why are you playing video games? it’s better for you if you just cook in the kitchen. Don’t you have work to do?” I try to ignore these hateful comments and respond by saying, “This is my job. I play video games and earn my own living while supporting my family!” said the inspiring mom gamer in an interview with Zayan My.

In the beginning, Lynda said that she would always have to hope and wait on her husband for money but now she has the independence of making her own income.

“At first, I could only hope for money from my husband. But now as a video game streamer, our contracts depend on the following of our viewers. If we stream everyday, Facebook will contact you to make you a partner.”

While Lynda still maintains her gaming career, she admits that her role as a wife and mother still comes first as she balances her schedule to make time for both.

The successful streamer also has a few words of advice for youngsters and anyone who is passionate about gaming.

“To succeed, don’t give up even for a second. Keep trying even if you may fail many times. The first thing you must do is set your dream. There’s nothing wrong with trying. If you’re young and you want to become a streamer, you have to keep trying and prove yourself to the world!”

She’s breaking stereotypes one chicken dinner at a time! We hope this inspires you to never give up on your dreams.
