Life is not always a walk in the park, and those who can help, they help.

A Malaysian, Ramzi recently shared his experience of helping a 19-year-old man who was stranded on the highway while looking for a ride home back to Johor. Ramzi was on his way back from work on December 31, 2022, and when he noticed the man sitting by the road alone in the dark, he spoke to him.

“The man told me that he was walking to the toll near KLIA to look for any lorry driver who is willing to give him a ride back to Johor”, Ramzi said.

Ramzi decided to send him to the toll as it was far from where they were, and when they reached the toll, Ramzi struck up a conversation and asked the man why was he walking. The 19-year-old, Mizi, who is studying at a university in Putrajaya had a lot to tell.

Mizi is currently on his semester break and he plans to return to Johor for a part-time job before returning to his campus. However, he only had enough money for his fares from the university to KLIA, and it was impossible for him to travel back to Johor without sufficient amount of money.

“He showed me his wallet. I only saw papers and his IC,” Ramzi added.

Mizi said that his parents are working but they don’t earn much, and he didn’t want to give them a call as he didn’t want them worrying about his safety. He told Ramzi that he tried to stop 2-3 lorries in case they were willing to give him a ride but to no avail. Unfortunately, Mizi couldn’t even make any phone calls if he wanted to as his phone was not functioning.

While both men were conversing, Ramzi noticed that Mizi was touching his stomach a few times, and he knew that the latter was hungry. He gave Mizi some cash, who initially rejected the money, but eventually took the money from Ramzi after being convinced to do so.

He didn’t give much, but enough for Mizi to travel back to Johor without depending on a ride, and to keep him from being hungry. He then left Mizi there but in his Facebook post, he said that he is still worried about the latter.

“I wonder if he’s okay. Has he arrived Johor safely? Has he eaten?” Ramzi expressed.

Speaking to WORLD OF BUZZ, Ramzi said he is likely to share an update soon.

“I’ll probably have a live video session on TikTok this evening (January 5) and reveal what happened after my Facebook post went viral. I feel like the people should know about Mizi.”

Ramzi also told WORLD OF BUZZ that he hopes the Social Welfare Department (JKM) can locate Mizi and help him.

We’ll keep you updated on what Ramzi wants the public to know about the 19-year-old whom he met on the road recently.
