One thing about Malaysia is that there is kindness around every corner.

And what better way than to spread kindness than through a Malaysian favourite, nasi lemak.

Photographer, Ray Loh CK recently took to his Instagram page to document a random act of kindness he conducted. He bought out all the nasi lemak from a makcik who was selling under the heat of the 1pm sun, and gave them away to random strangers he met on the road.

“I’ve always seen this makcik selling in the afternoon until 1pm. Today, I’ve come to buy them all. It’s so sad to see this mak cik. Selling nasi lemak by herself from 7am to 1pm,” he wrote in the video.

He decided to purchase 50 packets of nasi lemak from the aunty but she worried that there wasn’t enough.

“The truth is, I wanted to buy them all anyway. So this mak cik can head home and rest early.”

While she prepared the nasi lemak, many people came over to purchase from her, to which Ray handed out the nasi lemak that he bought to them.

He also then handed the rest to frontliners in the area.

During his random act of kindness, he not only helped the nasi lemak makcik sell out her food but also delighted random passerbys and frontliners with a delicious meal.

It’s truly great to see how one person’s simple act of kindness can bring so much joy to so many people. If we all participate in an act of kindness a day, what a happy world we would create.
