In an ideal world, parents would be able to keep an eye on all the information their child takes in from the Internet, the world and the people around them.

However, as humans have advanced, the children of today have too. They are more intelligent and quicker than ever, absorbing information like a sponge.

Unfortunately, this can have adverse effects too.

A disturbing sight

Recently, Mohd Zakey made a Facebook post about something disturbing he saw.

He was at a playground when he witnessed 2 kids trying to replicate sexual acts.

They two siblings, a 6-year-old girl and a 5-year-old boy, were playing with each other when Zakey’s wife noticed the boy bringing his sister into a quiet glass room.

She sensed that the boy’s action was strange, especially because no one else was in the room.

“Suddenly, the boy asked his sister to lie down. After that, he laid down on top of her and started imitating sexual acts with his sister (in simple terms: missionary position),” Zakey said in his post.

When the boy realised that Zakey was watching him, he quickly hid behind a pole while his sister started crying.

“I was so shocked by the act that I was speechless, ” Zakey confessed.

Meanwhile, his wife took it upon herself to comfort the girl, telling her that what her brother did was wrong.

After that, she also reprimanded the boy, telling him that what he did was wrong and to never to do it again.

Boy

According to Zakey, the boy seemed to understand what Zakey’s wife was saying and immediately apologised to his sister.

At the end of his post, Zakey strongly pleaded with parents to monitor their children’s interactions, gadgets and behaviour.

“The world is progressing, and so are our children. This is not something to be taken lightly. Let this be a lesson to ourselves too,” he said.

How could a 5-year-old have thought to do something like this? This is indeed very worrying.
